The more plants I buy, the happier I seem to get. I’m not sure if it’s that the air is purer or if I just love the new jungle-like look of the condo. I wanted to spread the jungle love, so I compiled a list of my favorite finds on Amazon. I know it seems weird to have a live plant shipped to you, but I’ve never been disappointed. It feels like they’ve taken special care every plant baby I’ve ordered. Plus, it comes right to your door!
Devil’s Ivy (Pothos) - Epipremnum aureum
The definition of jungle-y! This glorious devil is so stunning. The more it grows the longer the vines get, which makes the whole room feel so lush! BONUS: It’s easy to take care of! [Pothos come in variety of shades of green.]
Care – Bright indirect light to low light and can be grown in dry soil or in vases of water.
ZZ Plant – Zamioculcas Zamiifolia
I love this plant because you don’t see it very often, but it’s a wonderful addition to the collection. The ZZ plant is also easy to take care of. 😊
Care - Bright, indirect light is best. Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry.
Ponytail Palm - Beaucarnea Recurvata
The Ponytail Palm is so intriguing! I love how the trunk is thick at the base and comes together till the cutest curly leaves pop out of the top!
Care – Bright light! Can go a long time between watering. When in doubt don’t water. (If the leaves are brown you need to water.)
Rattlesnake Plant - Calathea Lancifolia
Similar to the “snake plant” or “mother-in-law” plant, this is a very easy plant to take care of. The Rattlesnake plant however, has a dazzling zig-zag shape in the leaves that make it much more interesting to look at.
Care - Medium to bright indirect light, shield from direct sun. Water when the top few inches of soil feel dry. You can mist to keep humid if you live somewhere dry.
Jade Plant - Crassula Ovata
The red tips of the Jade plants leaves are a perfect way to add color without overdoing it! Plus, the leaves are shiny, almost waxy, which give off a very polished feel.
Care - Full bright light. Allow soil to dry between waterings.
Monstera Plant - Monstera Deliciosa
The Monstera is so dramatic! I love it. Its leaves get HUGE, which makes it even more beautiful. This tropical monster is a great addition to any room in the house!
Care - Moderate light (if it is getting too much sun the leaves will start to yellow). Water weekly.
Rubber Plant - Ficus Elastica
The Rubber Plant brings a moodier vibe in the home. The leaves are a dark, almost purple color, which is a refreshing break especially if you have a lot of bright green plant babies.
Care - Keep moist but well-drained. Needs a good balance of light and shade.
Purple Wandering Jew - Tradescantia Pallida
This one has been on my wish list for so long! This is perfect for a hanging basket or in a planter on a high shelf. The longer the vines get the more it hangs down and the more stunning it becomes!
Care – Keep the soil slightly moist. Bright, indirect light. If it is not getting enough light, the leaf markings will fade.
Tri-color Prayer Plant - Stomanthe Sanguinea
So many amazing colors in these leaves! A fantastic way to bring in some pinks to you home without looking too girly. (Unless you like girly, then you might also like THIS pink beauty!)
Care - VERY bright indirect light. Keep evenly moist, not wet or dry.
Hindu Rope Plant - Hoya Carnosa
An absolute winner in my book! So unique, so beautiful, so curly! I love this choice for your home. It’s already fabulous, just wait till it blossoms!!
Care - Water regularly in summer, but only every 2 weeks in the winter. Bright, indirect light is best, yet it can survive in lower light.
